In this class students will be handbuilding dragons and fantasy figurines out of clay. The instructor will cover valuable techniques and provide ample opportunities for students to practice carving, adding details, and sculpting dynamic forms. The teacher will cover the nuances of developing fine facial features as well as attaching limbs and hollowing out the body of the form to prevent cracking. Students will learn about working within the parameters of the materials used and will practice sculpting and glazing techniques that guarantee success. This is a beginner friendly class. All levels are welcome.
